Artsblog Italia: The Unpredictable Lighting Sculptures of Warren Muller, December 2008
With their creativity and sparkling energy, Warren Muller lighting sculptures seem perfect to end, with a post, the year 2008.
On the surface, Muller's lights have the look of sophisticated piece of artworks, but they are made from found, recycled, and salvaged objects, assembled in an unpredictable way. The enigmatic shape is revealed once you look closely. You notice then, that the artist uses wood boxes, milk bottles, pots, cups, hooks and varied fragments in an extraordinary way (equally suitable for retail places or museum spaces).
Along with Fabulist, RJ Thornburg he is part of Philadelphia gallery-design studio Bahdeebahdu, on which website you can find other examples of his fantistic lights.
