Transforming the everyday into the extraordinary, Bahdeebahdu was formed just over seven years ago by partners RJ Thornburg and Warren Muller. With enviable dexterity, the studio engages in the work of both interior design and lighting sculpture, respectively (and oftentimes collaboratively). The home you see above is a testament to this labor and love, with Warren’s salvaged-object sculptures dappled about a space Thornburg’s fashioned from the both unusual and the extraordinary.

Truth be told and in the interest of full disclosure, I count Bahdeebahdu amongst my many employs… Easily understood, I’m the envy of all my friends. ;)

Pictured above: Artwork by Isaiah Zagar alongside a prototypical floor lamp by Muller. Kevin O’Brien’s burnt velvet fabric makes for a lovely pillow on a Stewart chair. Muller’s thoughtfully-titled Marcel du Lamp in quiet glow. A bolster-backed lounge with delicate wheels, source unknown but oh how I wish I did. Coffee table a great flea market find. One of Muller’s many commissioned works of donated objects. Last, certainly not least, a quiet scene with Stewart headboard and repurposed-parts lamp by Gianni Vallino.

Enjoy!
