Gridskipper: Westin Phily's Art Room, June 2007
Even for the collective-art hotel room trend, this one's pretty startling. Room 414 at the Westin Philadelphia has been transformed into a baroque boudoir under the auspices of Philly's tourism board (full disclosure: one of our sponsors). A couple dozen artists and designers contributed ideas; though the bed and a few other furnishings remain Westin-ized, you've still got some pretty zany wallwork, not to mention the funky curtains, tangled lamp, and a hollow log! Not sure if the room costs more than others in the hotel, but anyone can book it.
